Going Bonkers!

We have heard repeatedly over the years the following comments -

1) My Mother is handling everything

2) My Aunt is doing the decor and/or the catering

3) My best friend and Matron of Honor is directing and helping me

So here's the rest of the story -

Number 1 - your Mother should be enjoying the celebration not running your wedding. She's your Mother and has a place of honor at your celebration. Hire someone to handle every thing that you and your Mother planned.

Number 2 - the Aunt is not a professional nor can they multi-task. A wedding is an event with preparation, planning, timing involved. The last Aunt we saw that catered ended the night with food burnt, ice sculpture never on display due to melting in the back of a van and two feet of water in the reception hall. Not a pretty picture and we were hired for "day of to direct" the wedding. We had to tip toe by the mess. . . Walking by a mess and waving is hard to do when you care about and have forewarned the bride. We did it because we are professionals at what we do. We take care of the details and can find reputable, reasonable caters or florist or . . . Disaster recovery specialist. We care. We listen. We like doing what you want with no muss or fuss.

Number 3 - the Best Friend and Matron of honor is like both #1 and #2. She has a place of honor. She also can not expect to be a multi-tasker. And if she loves Champagne . . . Well, let's just say you could be in real need of a wedding professional. Bless your heart! More than once we have heard that someone close to a bride, their friend, checked out on their wedding day. Do not let that happen to you. Call a professional.
